Hi everyone,
I've been prescribed Diflucan for my yeast infection in South Africa. I'm currently at the hospital for a yeast infection. I'm not sure what it is that I'm experiencing, but the symptoms are similar to what I was experiencing with my previous infection.
I'm confused why do I have this infection, and how can I make it worse? Also, what should I do if I experience any side effects or anything else that I've noticed?

Hello everyone,
I'm a healthcare provider, and my yeast infection is making me sick. I've been prescribed Diflucan for yeast infection in South Africa for a while now. I've had an outbreak when I was about 8, but I was also diagnosed with thrush. I've been prescribed it for 2 months now, and have been seeing my doctor for 2-3 days now. He prescribed Diflucan for my yeast infection, and I've been experiencing a mild side effect. However, I'm still having the same symptom as before, and I'm not sure if I'm experiencing this or something. Can anyone share any insights on this?
Hello,
Thank you so much for the detailed explanation, and I'm really appreciate it. I've had the same symptoms from both of my other infections and was wondering if Diflucan has any side effects? I have tried various medications, but have not had any side effects.
If someone else has had similar symptoms, I'm sure they can do something to help.
Hello Dr. Emily,
You're welcome, everyone here at MedHelp can help with any questions or concerns. If you have more questions or need more information on Diflucan or other medications you're taking, feel free to post here or chat with your healthcare provider.
Thank you for your question, and I understand. If I were to have my yeast infection again in the future, then I would start taking Diflucan. The doctor mentioned taking it for the yeast infection in South Africa, but I'm not sure if the medication has any side effects. So far, I've taken the medication for my yeast infection, and I'm feeling pretty good. But the side effects are just not there for me. Any suggestions?
Thank you so much for your detailed answer. I think you're right, but it's important to know what to expect. Diflucan can be taken for yeast infection, but it's important to take it for the entire time you're taking it. You should not be taking it for longer than recommended, or for as long as you're taking it for the same symptom. If you feel the side effects, take them as soon as possible and keep taking them until you're completely comfortable with them. If you're concerned, talk to your healthcare provider about taking a different medication (such as fluconazole) for yeast infection in the future.
That's great. It makes sense to be taking it for the same symptom, and not for longer periods of time. However, if it's something else that's affecting your symptoms, it's best to avoid it entirely. Also, there are some other things you can do to help manage symptoms if you need them. I've heard some people are able to stop taking Diflucan without experiencing side effects, but if they do, it's best to avoid it as much as possible. So far, I've been taking Diflucan for my yeast infection for the past few months.
